I just spent the weekend at a million dollar wedding – the star-studded “Kris Humphries/Kim Kardashian” betrothal event in Montecito, CA… so, what better time to post about the current “Macanudo Millionare” contest and 4-Pack being offered by General Cigar…
I’m sitting in the “smokezebo,” relaxing and enjoying a Macanudo Cru Royale Gigante (6×60) from the 4-Pack… I’ve reviewed this cigar a couple of times on 365 so below is an excerpt from one of my recent “What I’m Smoking Now” mini-reviews…
The Cru Royale was created by master blender Benjamin “Benji” Menendez, it sports a dark, rich, rustic, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounding a Dominican La Vega Especiale binder (proprietary leaf) and Dominican/Nicaraguan Viso & Brazilian Mata Fina fillers… The cigar has a nice sweetness throughout with roasted coffee, toasted nut, chocolate and dark fruit flavors with a slight pepper spice component… this is not a complex smoke but has a nice medium finish and doesn’t taste or smoke like other Macanudo’s from my past… definitely a stick to try if you haven’t had one yet…

One of my fondest memories of Macanudo cigars is enjoying them with others on the Macanudo bus when it tours.
I haven’t tried the lastest in the line yet but my favorite that I’ve smoked so far has to be the Macanudo Robusto.
